Hi! I'm Mel

A web developer and automation expert dedicated to empowering purpose-driven founders. I bring your website functionality to life and build streamlined systems, whilst ensuring you understand every step.

My coding career started with a sequence of challenges—from being told I wasn't suited to it at GCSE, to struggling in my first job. But everything changed when I impulsively volunteered to build a custom software solution for my then employer. A near-disastrous moment of "I'm about to lose my job if I don't figure this out" problem-solving was all it took to make me fall in love with learning and technology and become a developer. 👩‍💻

Since then, I've had the privilege of building software and websites for companies like Superdrug, USwitch and Found & Flourish and I have spent the past few years focusing my energy on

my own company - building software to help young people embrace the fear of failure whilst coding. Although that chapter is now closed, today, I bring that same passion for building simple and accessible technology for both your team and your users to every project as a freelance web developer and automation expert; helping businesses solve complex problems and create efficient, effective online solutions.

When I'm not writing code, you can find me spending time my family, on stage with my local am-dram group or sea swimming in the summer months 🌊

Giving Back

I have committed to donating a fixed £50 every month to our current cause, East Sussex Early Days CIC. This is a personal pledge made in gratitude for the invaluable support they provided to me as a new parent. They offer free, in-person, and remote lactation consultancy and early feeding support to families in East Sussex.

We start with complimentary calls to understand your goals and big-picture vision. Together, we'll then create a clear action plan and a cost effective proposal.

Asana Board & Admin
Once we've agreed to work together you'll be sent a contract outlining the scope of work and I'll set up the Asana board for you and your team
03.
Development
I build your tech as a partnership, giving you a clear view of your project as it's being built so the final solution aligns with your vision and values, with no surprises along the way.
04.
Feedback
We repeat steps 02 and 03 to develop and refine. You will provide feedback in a way that suits you and your team! Whether that's via the Asana board or jumping on a quick call!
05.
Launch
When the project is completed, I will ensure you have everything you need to update your new digital platform yourself through recorded Loom demos and/or handover sessions!
06.
Support
Our journey doesn't need to end at the launch if you don't want it to! I'm on hand for any questions or long term development needs. Don't hesitate to ask! I will always do my best to help!
